Wheels at last

Our car was delivered today. Now for some sightseeing and shopping without waiting for a bus!

We went to Vaughan Mills Outlet Centre tonight to celebrate. (You will have to Google map it)

Day 5

Day 5, snow at last!!

It started snowing around 6pm yesterday and stopped about 2am.  We have had 5cm.  It changes the scene totally and brings out the street sweeper minions.  Unfortunately they shovel the snow outside the window at 3am.

Toronto -Our arrival

We arrived in Toronto safe and sound. After a 2 hour stint in customs and immigration we are now temporary Canadian citizens.  No snow to be seen, we were the only ones on the plane in short sleeves, 9 degrees Celsius isn't that cold.

Home to our new abode for a quick shower then out to Christmas dinner with our exchangee's family.

Slept for 10 hrs and we think we have now adjusted to Toronto time. 

Saturday we unpacked then went shopping - as you do on Boxing Day. We called into a shop called Best Buy (like the Good Guys) and there was not one Caucasian to be seen, can't  believe how many Asians live here. 

Sunday morning and we can't  sleep, up at 4.15am - washed, ironed, vacuumed and mopped the floor.

Still no internet at home so have to go to Starbucks or Tim Hortons to use free wifi.

We have a family of squirrels living next door. They are very entertaining to watch.

We've Arrived in HK👍

We had a smooth flight from Perth to HK arriving 20 minutes early. Went straight thru security and arrived at our connecting gate 35 minutes later (a new O'Dea record).

Our year begins!

We will attempt to keep you updated of our adventures in Canada, but if things get too hectic or exciting we may miss an update or two.

After a very long and exhausting day we are sitting in the departure lounge awaiting our first flight which will take us to Hong Kong, a short journey of 7 hrs then a 3 hr layover before boarding again for our 14 hr flight to Toronto.
