Le Canyon des Portes de l’Efer has
gorgeous waterfalls in the middle of it. The water is from the River Rimouski. We walked approximately 7kms up and down steps
and with my lungs that is no mean feat but well worth it. The wooden suspension
bridge gave us a bird’s eye view of the falls. Totally awesome.
These bronze sculptures are in a
large park that is used by families, dudes on skateboards, cyclists and
walkers.
Le Bic also has a range of
coloured homes. We found a covered in bridge off the main road, only a small
one but still worth a look.
Today’s drive was 460kms along
the coast of the Peninsula of Gaspe - WOW what a beautiful drive, every corner
a picture postcard. The road was windy and mountainous. Once again the
colourful homes stood out. We saw the most unusual vertical wind turbine, the
biggest in the world. Waterfalls aplenty from melting snow, lighthouses on
every cape.
In Saint-Georges-de-Malbaie we had a great view of the water from our motel and spent a great deal of time whale watching but with no luck, we will now have to wait for a couple of weeks for another chance. We did see this Indian Head rock and an island used for hiking.
Beresford was suppose to be an overnight stay but we loved the Inn and the town so decided to stay an extra night even though it was cold and wet.
Enjoying your blog so much. You're definitely getting us inspired!! xx
