School Field Trip

Today Newton and I went on a Skiing Field Trip (Excursion) with 65 Year 7 & 8 students and 8 staff/parents.
We went to Snow Valley which was a 2 hour drive on a old yellow school bus. The weather was quite bad early in the morning. The snow plows were out salting the road and the roads were really busy.

We suited up for our first go at skiing and headed to the bunny hill for beginners. It was very nerve racking at first but slowly we got the hang of it. Newton was better and more adventurous than me.

The students were amazing and so very game but skiing is a normal sport for most of them. We have another 2 days of skiing over the next couple of weeks.

It snowed all morning and when we returned to school the car was covered in snow, I sat in there with the engine running and the heater on for half an hour and still had to sweep the snow from our windows. This picture was taken after the heater had been on and I had turned the wipers on by mistake.
