The Lucky Country

Getting the car on Wednesday was the easy part.
To change the license of the vehicle into our name we first had to obtain insurance. This cannot be done online, only via the telephone, once you have made contact then all the document they require can be submitted by email.
4 hours later we had an insurance policy, then we had to go to the service centre wait inline for another hour only to be told that we needed an Ontario drivers license, luckily the lady was really nice and gave us a 10 day breather, we  finally received our new number plates (the plates go with the driver not the car).  We then drove out to the Drive Test facility to obtain an Ontario license, which is just a matter of handing over our WA license and they take your photo and $$$ and issue you a Canadian  license but the paperwork they require is very difficult to get from our Department of Transport. So we may just give it a miss and hopefully we don't get pulled over by the Mounties.

Made us realise how good we have it in Australia.

We are drinking a lot of coffee here mainly to keep us warm. No Nespresso pods its all percolated coffee.
The shopping centres open at 10am and close at 9pm everyday.
The sun rises at 8am and sets at 4pm. Short days = more pj time.
All our junk mail comes on Thursdays and we receive about 20 catalogues all for grocery stores.

We had a couple of small snow showers today. More to come I hope.
